MAREN
Singer, Harpist, Pianist, Videomaker
Maren Paris Cline has been playing harp since she was eight and singing for as long as she can remember.
Maren grew up performing with her family in many settings around Utah including retirement centers and assisted living care facilities. As a baby, Maren sat in her stroller cooing along while Melou sang to elderly residents. Maren loved performing in music, dance and ice-skating shows where she shared music and performance woven together.
In high school Maren performed with the Woods Cross Madrigals in various settings and competitions in Utah and California. In 2014 Maren auditioned and was chosen as a vocal soloist with the Honors Performance Series performing in Carnegie Hall, New York.
Maren received superior ratings with her harp performances in State Solo and Ensemble competitions throughout high school. In 2012 Maren was a lead in the Children’s Dance Theater's performance of the “Apple Pip Princess.” She was a member of the Utah Youth Philharmonic Orchestra for two years playing both violin and harp. (However not at the same time.) Maren was the Utah 2014 Woods Cross High School Sterling Scholar for Vocal Performance.
Maren served an LDS mission in Nagoya Japan. Maren toured the area around Nagoya performing on both her harp, as well as soloing on voice.
Maren is currently the Days of 47 Queen for 2017-2018, which gives her the privilege of representing the state of Utah, the pioneers, and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Maren loves the opportunity to give presentations and musical performances throughout the state of Utah during this time.
Maren loves yoga, Thai food, video editing, skiing and dance parties.
